Exclusion projects & warranties (pest and wildlife)
Quote, sell, schedule, and warranty jobs that seal animals and pests out of a home.
An exclusion is when you seal up the gaps where animals or bugs get into a home. It's a bigger, one-time job, usually with a warranty. Turn on Exclusion Projects & Warranties in Line Features for pest control or wildlife control.
The three pages
- Exclusions (overview) — numbers, jobs that need attention, warranties expiring soon, and Inspection Findings: recent visits where the tech found entry points, ready to turn into a project.
- Open Projects — jobs you've quoted or sold but haven't finished.
- Warranties — finished jobs and when their warranty ends.
How a job flows
- 1Quote — the tech builds a quote on site with Required, Recommended, and Optional items (good / better / best). Or start one from Inspection Findings.
- 2Accepted — the customer signs on the tech's phone, accepts in their portal, or you mark it accepted after a phone call.
- 3Deposit — send a deposit invoice.
- 4Supplies — tick when materials are ordered.
- 5Schedule — pick a date; a work visit is put on the schedule.
- 6Done — the tech checks off every spot they sealed. The project moves to Warranties and the rest of the bill is sent automatically.
The warranty lists exactly what's covered — and what isn't (spots the customer declined or that couldn't be sealed). Customers see it in their portal and can ask for a warranty re-check, which creates a priority visit.
Tip: Projects waiting 14+ days without a date are flagged "at risk". Warranties ending within 90 days get a renewal nudge.
