Autopay and declined cards

Saved cards are charged automatically. If a card fails, we try again for you.

When a customer saves a card (in their portal or when booking), their bills are paid automatically on the due date. They get an emailed receipt.

If a card is declined

  • We try again 3 days later — up to 3 tries in total.
  • If it still fails, you get an alert, and the customer gets a text and email asking them to update their card.
  • They can update it themselves in their portal.
  • If the bill can't be charged at all (the card was removed, or Stripe was disconnected), we stop trying and send you an alert so you can collect it another way.

Tip: Turn on Failed payment alerts in Settings → Alerts to hear about declines right away.

Buttons that open the app ask you to sign in first. New to RouteStacker? Start free.
