Customers vs. subscriptions — what's the difference?
A customer is the person. A subscription is one service they buy from you.
Think of it like a phone plan. The customer is the person (or business) — their name, phone, email, and address. A subscription is one service they've signed up for, like weekly pet waste pickup.
One customer can have several subscriptions. Mrs. Lopez might have weekly pet waste and monthly pest control. She's still one customer, with two subscriptions.
Where to look
- Customers page — the people. Open one to see all of their services together.
- Subscriptions page — every service, one per row. This is where you pause, cancel, or change a service.
Tip: When you change a customer's phone, email, or address, it updates on all of their subscriptions automatically.
